We grew up hunting and fishing all our lives, making great memories with our family by getting away and spending time in the woods together. These trips weren’t just about the hunt—they were about unplugging from the distractions of life, deepening our relationships, and creating bonds that have lasted a lifetime. Some of our fondest memories, from childhood into adulthood, come from those days spent in nature, where time seemed to slow down, and the only thing that mattered was being together.

Over the years, we had the opportunity to visit different places across the Midwest, where we took part in special hunts for individuals with disabilities or health conditions that kept them from getting into the woods on their own. Seeing the impact these hunts had on people, and how much joy and fulfillment they brought, left a lasting impression on us. It showed us just how meaningful and life-changing a hunting experience could be for someone who might not otherwise have the chance.

As we grew older and were able, we began acquiring land with the mindset of using it for whatever God had planned. Then, just a few years ago, we were invited to participate in a hunt on a preserve in Wisconsin. That experience solidified our decision to create something special—a world-class hunting experience in the South for those who may not have the means to travel out of state to hunt in areas known for big deer. We want not just the people that don’t have the means to leave the South, but also ones that want to escape the cold and enjoy a mild-temperature hunt, yet still be able to harvest the buck of a lifetime.

At the heart of Porter Ranch Outdoors is a mission far greater than just hunting. Our goal has always been to share the good news of Jesus Christ with people, using our passion for the outdoors as a means to fulfill our greater purpose in life. The foundation of our work is faith, and through it, we seek to provide not just unforgettable hunts, but also life-changing experiences.

Since purchasing the additional land in 2017, we have spent years building and developing the property, carefully planning every step along the way. After years of preparation and prayer, we knew it was time to launch Porter Ranch Outdoors. Now, we are committed to offering hunters a high-quality experience while staying true to our mission of faith, family, and the love of the great outdoors.
